PLAINVILLE, CONN. — Automobilia Auctions will conduct an auction at Winter Associates on April 1. Automobilia Auctions has conducted auctions for the last 30 years. Gerald Lettieri of the auction company said this is another sale of desirable historical automobilia. The company offers period correct items from 1900 through the 1960s. Reproductions are clearly described in the catalog.
The auction will start at 11 am and will be live and on the internet. Previews will be Friday, March 31, from 1 to 4 pm and Saturday, April 1, from 8:30 to 11 am. Bidders may leave absentee bids, and phone bids will also be accepted.
Some of the features in this sale will be two original Parnelli Jones Big Oly team jackets. The 1947-1962 historical archives collection of Hollywood, Calif., Porsche, Ferrari dealer Competition Motors will cross the block.
A significant Pierce Arrow collection will be on offer. Pierce Arrow was one of America’s predominant luxury cars manufactured from 1901 to 1938. Also included are brass lights, horns, more than 20 signs and a diverse selection of racing items, posters, photos, programs, postcards, sales literature, badges, etc. A total of 438 lots will be offered, all at no reserve.
