EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. — Schillaci & Shultis of Two Feathers Antiques & Auction Services will present an estate auction titled “Touch of Elegance” and features the private collections from a few estates. This sale will provide an opportunity to acquire many antiques, art and collectibles from private collections being offered for the first time. This sale will have approximately 528 lots, evenly disbursed throughout the auction. All items have been removed and brought to the hall where the auction will take place. The address is 710 Columbia Turnpike (Routes 9 & 20). The live and online auction will take place on July 22 at 11 am Eastern Time. Highlights include a Charles Parker Company Aesthetic Movement Art Nouveau plant stand; an antique cane and walking stick collection acquired over decades, which includes sword canes, folk art, Eighteenth Century examples, carved bone, gold and silver specimens, etc.; an antique and vintage button collection, to include kaleidoscopes, tingue, military, enamel, micromosaics, etc.; a group of antique Victorian textiles along with a Singer Featherweight sewing machine; jewelry in silver and gold, including many by the Modernist designer Ed Levin.
An extensive number of silver and gold coins from a collection will be included. There are antique silver and silverplate items; a number of paintings, including those by listed artists; ceramics, to include a Nineteenth Century figural locomotive majolica centerpiece by Wilhem Schiller & Son. Midcentury Modern furniture made by Kai Kristensen for F.M. Mobler, along with many other collectible items, round out the sale highlights.
