HUDSON, N.Y. — On September 9, Public Sale Auction House will conduct a Midcentury Modern and design auction titled Cowork Modern. Cowork Modern will be a standard fare midcentury auction by Public Sale featuring a large selection of furniture, lighting, artwork and more. Its name comes from the more than 100 lots of iconic furnishings procured for a tastefully furnished coworking space that never came to fruition that will feature in this 600-plus-lot auction.

This auction will include items from well-known MCM designers like Eames, Nelson, McCobb, Baughman, Hansen, Bertoia and many more. There is a lucite-legged credenza and a chrome and orange velvet sofa, both by Milo Baughman, multiple lots of chairs by Eames, including stacks of fiberglass shells, group desk chairs and a large selection of Paul McCobb Planner items, including chairs and tables.
The cowork section of Cowork Modern will feature brands like Herman Miller, Artek, Knoll and more — with furnishings ranging from groups of Cesca chairs and stacks of Alvar Aalto stools, to the popular Chiclet chairs. Some items still have their original boxes, including Emmy chairs from Design Within Reach.
