NEW MILFORD, CONN. — New Milford Historical Society and Just In Antiques will present “Connecticut Memories,” an auction that is currently open for online bidding via www.AuctionNinja.com/Just-In-Antiques-LLC/ through Thursday, February 8. The 500-lot auction features a myriad of items including postcards, advertising memorabilia, yearbooks, bottles, maps and much more. All items start with a $1 opening bid and no reserve.
Rare highlights include New Milford “Wannopee” Lettuce Leaf Pottery, an original architectural rendering of Danbury City Hall, an Uncle Green’s “The Thinker’s Smoke” metal sign, antique New Milford maps and a taxidermy bass caught by jazz musician Linc Chamberland in Lake Lillinonah.
Pick-up of purchases will be at the New Milford Historical Society the Saturday and Tuesday following the auction, or by appointment. Shipping is also available for all items.
The name of this auction is an ode to the beloved antiques/gift shop “Connecticut Memories” that was in operation on Railroad Street in New Milford for many years.
The New Milford Historical Society & Museum will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from items donated to the organization for fundraising purposes and a portion of the proceeds from consigned items.
This auction is being managed by Justin Krul, owner of Just In Antiques with the assistance of the volunteers at the New Milford Historical Society.
