A distinguished ornithologist, Boston University Professor, and Nuttal Club at Harvard member, Ted traveled to 76 countries and his passion for wildlife inspired him to collect American decoys and folk art animals from around the World.
This is the first offering from his collection and will also include a few items from local estates, including Horse drawn carriages from Bruce and Olga Hausser of Cape Cod.
Items include: decoys by Crowell, Swift, Conklin, Sutton and many more. Shorebird decoys: from Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Long Island and more. Miniatures by Crowell, Lapham, Ahearn, Dando, Morse and Strunk. Bird carvings by Peltz, Warfield, Weaver and Franco. Fish decoys by Steffen and Christiansen. Folk art from around the World.
