THOMASTON, MAINE — Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ Thomaston Light division will present a decorative arts sale titled “Eastern Elegance” on Wednesday, March 20 at 10 am. This one-day, 331-lot auction will present artistic creations of China, Japan and Southeast Asia, ranging from 200 BCE to the Twentieth Century.

Offerings will include large selections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain, Japanese woodblock prints, bronze and ceramic figures, cloisonne, furniture, netsukes, carved jade, painted scrolls, snuff bottles and other Far Eastern accessories.

Items can be viewed online now, and participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids any time prior to 10 am, Wednesday, March 20. Registered bidders can also place bids as each item comes up for sale on March 20.
