BRANFORD, CONN. — New England Auctions will present the Frank Gaglio collection of Americana on June 6 at 10 am. Gaglio’s 40-plus years as a dealer, collector, show promoter and supporter of this material has amassed a large and diverse collection of Americana with a personal curation. Every piece has a story, often based on the people who touched each piece. As Gaglio has said many times, “The dealers are family.”

Featured items include a rare applique quilt with human and animal figures. A group of fraternal items, including heart-in-hand staffs, a rare hanging tramp art cupboard with Odd Fellows iconography, Odd fellows ceiling panels and more.

A cast iron hitching post figure of a seated dog will be offered as well as other hitching posts and cast iron objects. There is depth in many areas, including weathervanes, walking sticks, trade signs, folk carvings, country furniture and garden antiques.
