EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. — The East Hampton Historical Society announces the return of the East Hampton Antiques & Design Show on the grounds of Mulford Farm, Saturday and Sunday, July 13-14. Now in its 18th year, the East Hampton Antiques & Design Show is widely recognized as the premier antiques and design event on eastern Long Island and a highlight of the East Hampton arts and social calendar.
Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper, principals of the architectural and interior design firm Ingrao, are the honorary chairmen of the Friday, July 12, preview cocktail party, which offers patrons an early buying opportunity of the array of antiques, jewelry, textiles, collectibles and timelessly chic furniture and accessories. Ticket proceeds from the preview cocktail benefit the East Hampton Historical Society.
In addition to being principals of an internationally recognized design firm — which has redefined the world of modern luxury — Ingrao and Kemper have been longtime East Hampton residents with deep ties to the East End community.
“Mary and Lorenzo Woodhouse, who supported the restoration of the East Hampton Historical Society’s headquarters at Clinton Academy, were instrumental in preserving the historical beauty and charm of the community. It’s an honor to carry on their legacy by preserving one of their former properties as our home and supporting East Hampton history,” said Tony Ingrao.
“The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show brings everyone together among some of these glorious buildings so you can ‘Shop ‘til You Drop’ in this fabulous setting. A great, fun event where you can see beautiful items and meet beautiful people! Hope we will see you there!” added Randy Kemper.
Both the preview cocktail party and the antiques and design show take place on the bucolic grounds of the Mulford Farm, located on James Lane in the heart of East Hampton Village. Maintained by the East Hampton Historical Society, this 4-acre property features a restored Seventeenth Century farmhouse as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on Long Island.
The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show continues to be well received by collectors and dealers alike. Its popular offerings of wares and art come from a diverse assembly of more than 50 antiques and art dealers, housed in elegant white tents across the farmstead’s greensward. The focus of the show is on vintage decorative items for the home and garden as well as art. Classic rattan and bamboo furniture, lighting, textiles, architectural elements, American and European country decorated furniture, Art Deco and Moderne, garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weathervanes and mirrors will be for sale. With a broad range of styles from classic to contemporary represented, there is truly something for everyone.
Tickets purchased in advance for the antiques and design show cost $18. Day-of tickets cost $20 at the gate. Show hours are Saturday, July 13, from 10 am to 6 pm. On Sunday the show is open from 10 am to 5 pm.
Tickets for the Friday night VIP preview cocktail party start at $250 per person and include return visits over the weekend.
