The lifetime collection of John and Marie Vander Sande of Newbury, MA, features fine and rare Pilgrim century furniture, including a paneled oak valuables cabinet from the Mason-Messinger shop. Other highlights include North Shore joiners like James Symonds, Thomas Chase, and Thomas Dennis. Boston furniture includes a japanned Queen Anne high chest. Decorative arts feature 17th century British ceramics, needlework caskets, mezzotints, and a rare Boston shell-framed coat of arms from 1729.
