Franklin Volunteer Fire Department – 3rd Annual Antique & Collectible Toy Show

NORTH FRANKLIN, CONN. — The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Antique Toy Show on Sunday, March 9, from 10 am-3 pm at 5 Tyler Drive. Many well-known vendors from across New England will have a variety of antique and collectible toys for display and sale. New this year, the show will feature a large collection of Department 56 Snow Village buildings and accessory figurines.
There will be concessions and other activities from the Fire Department. Visitors can explore fun memories, shop and enjoy a day supporting community first responders. Admission is free, but early birds can get in at 9 am for $10. The department is located just off Route 32 about halfway between Norwich and Willimantic and in the vicinity of eastern Connecticut casinos for those that wish to stay a little longer. The building is spacious and handicap accessible.
The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department has continued as a volunteer service since 1954, providing emergency assistance in Franklin and surrounding towns. The department includes many highly trained and certified emergency medical and fire response personnel as well as fire police, cadets, administrative and supportive social members. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other training is provided throughout the year as well as many community-based outreach and awareness events.
