We are pleased to offer the life time antique collections of Gayle & Terry Utley of St. Albans
and Peter Mallett of Jeffersonville, Vt., at our traditional New Year’s Day Antiques auction.
Gayle was a noted decoy carver and Terry painted the decoys and made baskets too. Educators in Lamoille and Franklin counties, Gayle & Terry also amassed a wonderful collection of noteworthy clocks & oil lamps. They have retired to Arizona. Peter Mallett, also an educator and author of books on Vermont History, is in the 9th decade of his life, and is giving us the opportunity to dispose of his 70 year collection of “advertising tins” (tobacco & food) that he has acquired throughout the years.
Clocks: Birge & Fuller wagon spring steeple clock (Ives patent), Mission grandfather & wall regulator, Seth Thomas pillar & scroll, Vaseline glass daisy & button mantle, Ripple front Forestville, Mother of Pearl inlay regulator, Waterbury figure 8, and many more.
Lighting: Over 50 oil lamps, colored glass, hand painted, banquet lamps, cameo, miniatures, “gone w/the wind” cranberry, angle lamp, bracket, single & double w/refl ectors, chandeliers, wall sconces & more.
