The Estate of Jane Lougee Bryant, A professional photographer who was a lifelong resident of Limerick, Maine. After attending college she moved to Paris in the early 1950s and joined a group of young Bohemian expatriates. She founded the literary quarterly Merlin (an important precursor to The Paris Review), which published works by artists and writers such as Samuel Beckett, George Plimpton, Austrin Wainhouse and Alexander Trocchi. She later moved back to Greenwich Village in New York City, where she was a freelance photographer. In the 1960s she returned to the family house in Limerick, where she became active in civic affairs. We will be selling the complete contents of her estate without additions.
