We are very pleased to offer the Houghton Family Estate; early settlers of Stonington Connecticut and includes over sixty pieces of early and historical documents from the seventeenth through the twentieth centuries; of significant historical value offering a window into contemporary Colonial life in America. These documents descended in the Bennett and Brannan Families and in the following families who are documented within these papers; the Knights, the Williams, and the Harris.
Also offered are many twentieth century works of art acquired directly from the artists by the consigner’s father who was a publisher in New York City. And many other interesting items; including the original “Indian” door from the original homestead, built in 1787 along with other items from the property. Absolutely no reserves.
