Gaudreau’s Auction Company has been consigned to sell the “Above average contents” of the estate of Arlene F. Bowen, at this grand country auction. Charles and Arlene Bowen have been staples of this community for decades BESIDES managing to “Collect” many, many items over the years, are organized and displayed like nothing we have seen in the past. Besides the fact Mr., Bowen operated “Charles S. Bowen Inc. Truck Sales” for many years, he and Mrs. Bowen were a big part of this area. More important than anything, they raised a good family who are also an integral part of Eastford to this day. Besides the nice trucks, cars, lawn tractors and major projects that Mr. Bowen stored away, still on sight and ready for the auction. In Mr. & Mrs. Bowens “spare time”, they loved going to tag sales, flea markets and auctions. Purchasing eclectic items of all sorts. Mr. Bowen loved autos, automobile related items (across the board), antique tools including many Ford script, railroad, and other auto tools, vintage cast iron cookware (100’s of pieces) largest watch fob collection we have ever had the privilege to sort display and sell. Lanterns, loads of collectible diecast cars & trucks, vintage toys, a bunch of Tonka trucks, boxes of Legos, (2) vintage Snap-On and (1) Craftsman Rollaway Tool Chests fill of quality Snap-On, Bonny, SK, Craftsman and other quality tools that will be sold in several lots. John Deere Lawn tractors and parts. Plus, many other items that just caught Mr. Bowen’s eye. Meanwhile, for 70 years, Mrs. Bowen was often spending weekends in search of endless amounts of distinct items, including Hummel’s, shelves upon shelves of Mid Century Kitchenware such as Fire-King, Pyrex, Art Glass and Pottery, Depression Glass, Miniature Lamps, Dishes of all sorts, Glass juicers by the dozens, setting hens by the boxes, textiles, dishes, large collection of Roseville pottery, collection of good paperweights, old bottles, many, many pieces of Fenton in several forms & vintages, Country items and whatever else she knew was worth holding onto.
