SET OF 12 FINE CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN SERVICE PLATES each marked on the underside with crossed arrows in blue. The plates decorated with the French ”Royal Coat Arms“, the whole with raised gilt garlands and bands of darts. Diameter 10 ½“
EXTENSIVE VAL ST. LAMBERT 93 PIECE “ BEAUDOIN” STEMWARE SERVICE, blue over clear etched and gilt decoration; incl. water goblets, red wines, white wines, champagnes, cordials and desert bowls, a service for twelve.
CIRCLE OF MICHELE MARIESCHI (1710-1744), “Venice, A View of the Dogana and Santa Maria della Salute”, oil on canvas, unsigned, 35 ½” x 54 ½”. Provenance: The heirs of William Fox. This painting was in the Palladian mansion, Axwell Park, London, circa 1890, and was sold at Anderson Galleries, New York in the late 1920’s. A similar painting is in the Houston Museum of Fine Art.
JUAN GRIS (1887-1927), “Four Figures in a Café”, circa 1906-1908, signed with artist’s monogram, tempera on cardboard, 12 by 9 ins. site, 19 ½”x 16 ½”. In 1905, the artist was working as a satirical cartoonist for several Paris publications, by 1910, he embarked on a more serious art career as a cubist artist. Provenance: The heirs of William Fox
