ALAMEDA, CALIF. — Michaan’s Auctions January Gallery Auction, which took place on Friday, January 19, realized a strong sell-through rate as Michaan’s Auctions orchestrated another successful sale for its cosigners.
The sale was headlined by a 1955 Ford Thunderbird which sold for $20,910, and an elegant set of 12 R. Wehsener Dresden porcelain cabinet cups, which reached $9,840. Two paintings by Old Masters, a still life by Michele Pace Del Campidoglio and a landscape from the Studio of Giovanni Paolo Panini each achieved $6,765.
The jewelry department had another strong showing with a Cartier Santos Tank two-tone wristwatch reaching $5,535, while a jadeite jade, diamond, 18K white gold ring sold for $3,998. The Asian Art section was led by a Chinese rectangular bronze relief censer, selling for $5,843, and a group of five Chinese and Japanese bronze figures, which sold for $5,535.
