FAIRFIELD, MAINE – Paintings and sculptures, a total of 448 lots, were sold on Tuesday, August 25, at James D. Julia’s annual multi-day summer auction at his gallery, 203 Skowhegan Road. On Wednesday 704 lots of American furniture, folk art, weathervanes, flags and guns, some from the collection of John Warfield Armiger Jr., will be sold, followed on Thursday by 575 lots of silver, furniture, more weathervanes, doorstops and Plains Indian artifacts from the estate of Rodney G. Fuller. Asian art, 800-plus lots, will fill in the fourth day of this sale on Friday. All of the sales start at 10 am.
