Managers Elizabeth and Richard Kramer have announced that the fall version of Heart of Country, their famous Nashville antiques show, will be moving to the Dallas area in 2006. The event will be transplanted to the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Center in Grapevine. Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the hotel and convention center has been host to several successful antiques shows that have catered to a huge regional market. Richard Kramer said, “We have been wanting to return to this market for years. We used to do a show there sometime ago and it is a great market for Americana and country antiques, plus it attracts the Southwest audience and its distinctive style as well. We couldn’t be more excited about it.” Kramer emphasized, “The Heart show in February will always remain in Nashville but this change beginning with the September 23-26, 2006, show is permanent.” The facility will accommodate approximately the same number of dealers that set up for the fall Nashville. Kramer did emphasize that while it is a farther destination for the New Englanders who travel to their show, it is much easier for those who fly and for the Westerners. This show will be ending just days before the Round Top and Warrenton, Texas, shows begin; accordingly many dealers will be able to remain in the area. The fall Nashville show has had two Jenkins managed shows, Tailgate Antiques Show at Fiddlers Inn and Music Valley Antiques Market, running at the same time as Heart of Country. Jon Jenkins said they are working on a plan to have a companion show in the Grapevine area in the fall as well, but their details are not yet finalized. He expects to release the information before their current fall shows. Dates for the final fall version of the Heart of Country show in Nashville are October 13-15.
