Janice (Reynolds) Pugliano died here on February 18, 2011. A longtime dealer and member of the Pioneer Valley Antiques Dealers Association, she operated Ashley Antiques with her husband, Fred Pugliano.
Born January 12, 1937, in Westfield, she graduated from Westfield State College at the top of her class and was an English teacher for 32 years in West Springfield schools at the junior high level. She retired in 1991.
She is survived by her husband, Fred, whom she married in 1965, and who continues to do antiques shows. The two did many antiques shows together, including Nan Gurley’s Deerfield show, the Newburyport show for many years, Farmington (Conn.) and Marvin Getman’s Greater Boston Antiques Show in Wilmington, Mass.
The couple’s antiques business offers a general line, but specializes in paintings and early coin silver.
Even while working as a teacher, Janice loved to attend area auctions, antiques shows, estate sales and she was the secretary for the PVADA for many years.
