PHILADELPHIA — Kamelot Auctions conducted another of its three-day sales from July 19-21. The sales were separated into Luxury Goods, Mod Interiors and Estate Continental Furniture & Decorative Arts. It was in the final sale that the top lot of all three was achieved, served up by a Nineteenth Century Meissen covered dish. Raised on paw feet with delicate floral handles, the lid was topped by a figural finial of a lady very much in a partying mood. The saucy dish closed at $4,250. Price quoted with buyer’s premium as reported by the auction house. More on this and the other sales’ high bids to follow.
