RUTLAND, VT. — A 42-inch full-bodied cow weathervane topped Bob Prozzo’s March 13 sale of the estate of Dr Margaret Waddington of Rutland, going out at $23,100. Prozzo had personally removed the weathervane from Waddington’s barn prior to the sale.
In addition to the weathervane, the sale included several Sixteenth Century books in vellum, sets of Andrew Lang and other authors in Sangorski & Sutcliffe bindings, good gold jewelry, Tiffany and other silver and a small carved horn panel, possibly dating to the Seventeenth Century.
