Jewett-Berdan is a combination of Thomas J. Jewett and Charles P. Berdan (or Butch, as he is known to family and friends). Both have strong ties in the business and grew up with antiques. Butch, a third-generation antiques dealer, had great teachers in his mother, Betty Berdan, and his father, the late Butch Berdan, and Tom, in his mother Kathe Jewett.
Butch went on after high school to become a Historic Deerfield Fellow in 1988 and graduated with honors from Boston University with a degree in Art History. Tom started selling antiques at the age of 18 while attending the University of Maine for business. The two met in 2000 and started Jewett-Berdan Antiques.
