WESTMORELAND, N.H. — Topping the nearly 350 unreserved lots from the estate of Norman “Joe” Allard offered by Flying Pig Auctions on Monday, August 3, was an early Twentieth Century painted wooden trade sign with chickens that read “Justin Denison Mystic,” which came home to roost at $5,400 to a trade buyer. Several bidders — both online and on the phones — battled for the 31-by-44-inch sign, which had been estimated at $2/4,000, including premium. “Everyone loved it,” co-partner Roxanne Reuling said. “It was a great thing.” The sale featured the Allard’s collection of furniture and folk art as well as property from estates in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
