WINDSOR, CONN. — On March 23, Nadeau’s Auction Gallery presented its Designer Curated Warehouse Furnishings, Fine Art and Decorative Accessories auction, drawing in collectors and enthusiasts with its diverse offerings.
Featuring a selection of 500 lots, the auction presented a remarkable range of treasures, including fine art and works on paper by artists like Robert Donley, Mark Stock and William Tucker. The Designer Warehouse furnishings’ segment boasted prestigious names such as Ralph Lauren, Kravet and Lillian August, while the Decorative Accessories’ category sparkled with silver, Chinese porcelain and bronzes, alongside luxury brands like Herend and Baccarat.
Standout lots included the pair of blue green leather open armchairs reminiscent of George Smith, which commanded an impressive $3,300. Also capturing attention were two woodcuts in color by Ansei Uchima that achieved a notable price of $2,700, reflecting the enduring appeal of fine art. Noteworthy sales included a set of 11 Grayson de Verre dining chairs and an assembled Italian majolica service of approximately 133 pieces, both of which sold for $2,400.
Prices quoted include the buyer’s premium as reported by the auction house.
