Peter H Eaton Antiques, Inc Newbury, MA 978-465-2754 peter@petereaton.com www.petereaton.com A very fine Federal period stand with serpentined top, full drawer, the tapering legs beaded on the inside and outside edges and chamfered on the backs, and connected by raised and pierced stretchers. Cherry, with exceptional construction details and in a fine old color. Probably eastern CT, but perhaps CT River Valley, c. 1800. An identical stand is pictured in Fales, Furniture of Historic Deerfield, p.123.
