Milton E. Simons (American, c. 1830s, active in NY), oil on canvas, portrait of seated woman holding red book inscribed "B. Blakeslee" on cover, inscribed verso "M.E. Simons/Painter/March 1835", ss: 25 ¾" h. x 23 1/8" w.; "Heart & Crown" banister back rockerized arm chair, Stratford, CT possibly Salmon Shop, c. 1750, approximately 43 ¾" h. x 26" w. x 26 ½" d., seat height 15" h.; early 18th C. American tavern table, 24 7/8" h. x 30 ½" w. x 18 ½" d.; mid-19th C. hunting gun or "trade musket", c. 1840s-60s, Thomas Ketland & Co. lock, Liege, Belgium proofed barrel, dark brown almost black patina, splitting along right side of barrel near swell, expected wear including nicks and gouges, stock probably shortened, 58" l. butt to muzzle; early 19th C. salt-glazed stoneware crock in manner of Smith & Day (Norwalk, CT), outer crock measures 12 7/8" h., 12 1/8" dia.; and deep amber oval demijohn bottle, c. 1830-50, string-ring laid about 1/4" below plain lip, long tapering neck and bulbous body, pontil mark, quart size, nice wear to base, 10 7/8" h.
