19th Century Table Rug- Price Upon Request
19th Century Table Rug Circa - mid to late 19th century, New York state. This table rug is entirely hand made, inclusive of the background black fabric. The textile is comprised of both cotton and wool fabric. The decorative braiding around the edge of the entire rug, including the tassels, was most likely imported from Europe. The motif of flowers is done in a three dimensional stitching reminiscent of Waldoboro rugs. The floral pattern is very bold in color and most likely has not lost much of its intended powerful presentation. Measurements - 50” square mount. The mounting was done professionally, by Kathy & Ken Wilson. Barbara Ardizone Salisbury, CT (860) 435-3057
