Roman Bronze Works cast bronze sculpture after Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917) "La Fatigue" (or La Misere), 1972, accompanied by detached white marble slab base, depicts reclining female nude on rocky base, inscribed "Hommage Cordial a M. Cugat, Rodin," foundry mark on side of base reads "Roman Bronze Works Inc. July 1972," expected light wear, sculpture: 6 1/2" h. x 20" w. x 8" d., marble 21 3/4" l. x 11" w. [Original Rodin plaster purchased from Knoedler & Co. Inc. by Dorothy Schneiderman and Perle Hoffman who then donated the piece to the Cincinnati Art Museum.
