Queen Anne Squire Millerd Tall Case Clock, Warwick, Rhode Island, c. 1775, signed by Squire Millerd (1749-1820)on engraved sheet-brass dial "Squire / Millerd / Warwick", dial with Roman numerals, second's bit, recessed calendar, flame cherry case with chestnut backboards, domed bonnet with three flaming torch carved pendants, shaped and glazed door flanked by turned baluster columns, half-columns at back, waist with tomb-stone shaped door over plinth base, rack and snail movement, original pendulum, weights, door key and winding key, original hands, case has been refinished, works attached to seat-board, dial without silvered finish, wear consistent with age and use, checking, small repairs, unknown working condition, approximately 90" h.
