+Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893-1983), "Le Somnubule" (The Sleepwalker), 1974, etching and aquatint, abstract composition in darker tones with floating planes at center suggesting a mask and eyes, motifs typical of the artist including stars and spots surrounding the central image in colors of red, orange and blue, Dupin 656, only state, ed: 50, with a few "hors commerce", signed with pencil lower right, inscribed with pencil 47/50 at lower left, printed in colors on sturdy, cream wove paper with complete margins, published by Maeght, Paris, very light wear consistent with age, minor toning but retains vibrant color, image/ block size: 45 1/4" h. x 29 3/8" w.; ss: 51 1/2" h. x 33" w.; frame size: 81" h. x 42 1/2" w.
