Inventory 4674 - A fine tramp art box with the strong emotional message "Ever Thine" incised onto its front. This sentimental folk art box is additionally embellished with leaves, hearts and a horseshoe. Other examples by the same artist also have similar messages including, Merry Xmas and Forget Me Not. The boxes all come from the Adamstown, PA area and they are extremely early dating to the 1880s. In July of 1812 Ludwig van Beethoven wrote to an unknown admirer, "Oh continue to love me – never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved. ever thine – ever mine – ever ours” An example of this talented carver’s art is illustrated in A Legacy in Tramp Art on page 56.
