Randall “Randy” Thomas Forbes, 63, of Lewis, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 10, in Atlanta. He was born October 1, 1949, at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C., to Thomas Jules Forbes and Cecilia Forbes.

After attending the University of Maryland, he achieved his dream of becoming an antiques dealer and collector. As the owner of Pointe Antiques, he spent many years attending auctions and antiques shows throughout the East Coast.

Randy was an avid hiker and two-times Adirondack 46er. He also journeyed to Africa and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. He was proud of his home in Lewis but followed the lure of the sun and exotic treasures to Morocco and many other special places.

He showed his native pride in supporting Maryland teams such as the Baltimore Orioles, Ravens and Duke University.

Randy is survived by his mother, Cecilia Forbes of Sun City, Fla., a cousin Janice Moss of California, and longtime friend Diane Sewell of Atlanta.

His friendship was highly valued by his family, friends, antiques dealers and auctioneers, and he will be greatly missed.
