EASTON, MD. — Guyette & Deeter conducted its 31st annual fall decoy auction, in conjunction with America’s premier decoy show, the Easton Waterfowl Festival, on November 9 at the Talbot County Community Center. More than 400 decoys and related items were offered and a decoy swap meet was underway in the parking lot, with an additional 50 tables of decoy exhibitors set up inside the hall from November 7–9.
Top lot was a rare calling greenwing teal drake by noted carver Elmer Crowell of East Harwich, Mass., which went out at $138,000, including buyer’s premium.
