Steve Miller, 75, an American folk art specialist, died January 20 at Mount Sinai Hospital with his family by his side. Born Stephen Berman, Steve was a leading authority of American folk art and ran the American Folk Art Gallery in Upper Manhattan. He wrote and was cited in numerous articles and was the author of The Art of The Weathervane .

Steve leaves behind devoted wife Lucille, daughter Lisa, stepdaughters Debra, Janice and Jillian, and brother Bobby. There will be no public memorial service per Steve’s final wishes.
