DENVER, PENN. — An assembled full-size suit of armor sold for $270,600, topping the 220-lot Susquehanna Collection sold at Morphy Auctions on Thursday, January 16. Estimated at $75/150,000, the circa 1510-20 suit had once been in the collection of Dr Bashford Dean, the first president of the Arms & Armor Society and the first curator of Arms & Armor at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A husband and wife team of antique arms and armor dealers were bidding in the room on behalf of a client. See a future issue for a complete sale review.
