Thinking about selling something online? You may find it’s not the easiest task in the cyberspace world. Perhaps you don’t have a computer at all, are without Internet access (horrors!), or you’re lacking a digital camera. Maybe it’s just plain fear of the unknown that keeps you from trying.
Well, now there’s help from a site called TIAS.com, which is launching a national chain of online auction consignment centers. Clients can drop off their treasures at one of the 14 locations in the US and TIAS.com will do all of the grunt work; consignors simply fill out a few forms and paying a small listing fee. Previously isolated objects become instantly accessible to the millions of potential buyers on eBay.com.
Clients will be paid any winning bid minus a small commission. The TIAS.com Online Auction Consignment Centers opened October 6 and are located in Missouri, Texas, Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Arizona, Kansas and California.
