FAIRFIELD, MAINE — James D. Julia’s June 16–17 lamps, glass and jewelry auction had more than 60 Tiffany lamps, 45-plus Pairpoint lamps, about 40 Handel lamps and numerous pieces of Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre, along with art glass, jewelry, good silver, Art Nouveau furniture and more.
The top lot of the sale was a Tiffany Geranium table lamp, which attained $94,800. Its shade was signed, as was the library base and it was complete with the pierced bronze slip cap.
Four collections were sold without reserve, including a group of Mount Washington Royal Flemish glass as well of some of the Fairyland Lustre and lamps.
A complete report on the auction will follow in an upcoming edition.
