Updated at 2pm Thursday : May’s Antiques Market will open to the public at 9 am tomorrow (Friday) and at 6:30 am to dealers.
May’s Antiques Market postponed its opening this morning (Thursday, September 8) because of the heavy rainfalls all week and the “torrential rains” for a few hours early this morning, which swamped many fields.
The last field to open of Brimfield Week is J&J Promotions. Jill Reid at J&J reported at noon Thursday that J&J (413-245-3436) is a go for Friday’s opening.
Most of the usual parking lots for the antiques markets are closed. Some people have said that show visitors are encouraged to park on the western side of town, by Dealers Choice and Brimfield Acres North, while others are directing people to the church lots on the eastern side of town. Conditions may change this afternoon as the sun starts drying up the fields so showgoers should arrive with a good pair of muck boots and a flexible attitude.

We will update this story as more information comes in.
