RICHMOND, VA. — While spring sounds fill the air, curators at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art dust off an Art Nouveau instrument that perhaps has no greater equal in representing the beauty of nature. A Majorelle piano with flowing foliate carvings and flourishing scenes of swimming swans surrounded by reeds and flowers, all masterfully inlaid with rosewood and different fruitwoods receives a good stretch of its legs in a fine tuning and a song.
