DULUTH, MINN. — An oil painting of a ship was reported stolen from a private residence in July 2013. The artist is H. Valued at $50,000, the painting, which depicts a five-masted ship on roiling water, measures 30 by 40 inches. When taken it was in a 5-inch wooden frame. The painting’s owner stated that he picked up the painting in St Paul, Minn., in 1961, at an auction conducted at the YWCA.
