SANTA FE, N.M. — Altermann Galleries & Auctioneers demonstrated its surefooted knowledge of the Western art market with its December 7 sale of “Horse Wrangler” by Charles Marion Russell (1864–1926).
Shown here with company founder Tony Altermann, the 13½-inch-tall bronze depicting Russell atop a favorite horse, Redbird, exceeded high estimate to bring $264,000, including premium.
