An unusual Dino Rosin art glass sculpture for Murano from a Methuen, Mass., estate finished at $1,600. Two similar Sven Palmquist for Orrefors vases each achieved $425, as did a Swedish Kosta Boda vase in yellow/green with original sticker.
The second session of the auction included African art, featuring items from the collection of Alvin Bojar, brother of Frieda Bojar Rosenthal. A portion of her estate was sold at Sotheby’s in 2008. A Yipwon figure from the Yipar tribe sold for $2,800; a Benin casting of a head, Nigeria, was a good buy at $1,000 as was a Nkishi figure, Congo, at $2,200.
