Living in Style: Homes, Gardens and Interiors, a new concept show originally planned for September 16 and 17 at the Wilton High School Field House, has been postponed. “Everyone thought that this was a terrific idea,” said show manager Marilyn Gould, “but I discovered that it would require more lead time to produce than I realized or than I could give to it at this time. The response from antiques dealers and furniture craftsman has been very good, but architects, interior designers and restoration specialists need more individual attention to fully understand the concept and their role and opportunity in an event such as this.” Both sponsoring organizations, the Wilton Historical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), remain committed to the concept and wish to schedule it for 2007. This show was to replace the long-running DAR one-day antiques show. Antiques dealers had been notified about the change in format and it is now too late to reschedule, so there will be no show in Wilton in September. The next Wilton show will be the Wilton Historical Society’s Celebration of American Craftsmanship show on November 11 and 12, followed by the Holiday Antiques Show on December 3. Both take place at the Wilton High School Field House on Route 7. For information, 203-762-7257 or www.wiltonhistorical.org.
