Works on Paper at Tibor de Nagy
NEW YORK CITY – Through October 14, Tibor de Nagy is exhibiting “Will Barnet: Works on Paper,” a survey of Barnet’s drawings from the 1930s to the present with particular emphasis on abstract works from the 1940s and 50s and on large scale figurative studies from the 1970s and 80s.
The range of mediums included graphite, carbon, pastel, watercolor and oil on paper and vellum.
A conversation with the artist is planned for Saturday, October 7, 2 to 4 pm.
This exhibition is presented in conjunction with the retrospective “Will Barnet: A Timeless World,” organized by the Montclair Art Museum. Venues include Boca Raton Museum of Art, September 20 to November 3; Portland Museum of Art, December 21 to February 18, 2001; and Arkansas Arts Center, March 22 to June 3, 2001.
