LARCHMONT, N.Y. — February 7 at Clarke Auction Gallery saw 344 lots cross the block from the 40-plus-year curated collection of Cosulich Interiors & Antiques, New York City. Top-lot status was earned by a pair of one-of-a-kind fountain floor lamps, custom-made with black and red-colored Italian Murano glass. The 84-inch-tall lamps had an illuminated central bowl with black glass scrolls and fine red glass rods “rising like sprays of water in a fountain” sticking out of its tops, according to catalog notes. The pair rose to $5,000, including buyer’s premium, to top the sale. Additional highlights from this sale will be featured in an upcoming issue.
