EAST DENNIS, MASS. – Eldred’s Americana and paintings auction November 17-19 saw a Northwest coast carved wooden beaver-form bowl, dating from late Nineteenth Century, attain $42,000, including the buyer’s premium, to become the sale’s top lot. The beaver measured 4 by 10 inches and had wonderful old patina, according to catalog notes.
