Lynn Goytizolo, wife of Enrique “Ricky” Goytizolo and co-owner of Georgian Manor Antiques, died on Thursday, October 26, after a long and courageous battle with malignant melanoma. She was 58.
Born on January 2, 1948, in Westport, Conn., Lynn moved to New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she later met Ricky. They were married in 1970. While raising their daughter, Suzy, in New York, the family spent their summers in Fairhaven and grew to love the quiet beach town. In 1996, they made Fairhaven their permanent home, and Lynn quickly became an active member of the Fairhaven Historical Society, The Unitarian Church and other civic organizations.
Founded by Lynn and Ricky in 1970, and specializing in fine Eighteenth and early Nineteenth Century English furniture and accessories, Georgian Manor Antiques has been a longtime exhibitor at several of the country’s most prominent antiques shows, including the Winter Antiques Show in New York, the Philadelphia Antiques Show, and Boston’s Ellis Memorial Antiques Show.
Lynn’s kind heart and generous spirit made her a beloved member of the community, and she will be greatly missed by all who she touched. She is survived by her husband Ricky, her daughter Suzy G. Zaino, son-in-law Mark Zaino and granddaughters Charlotte and Alexandra Zaino.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Unitarian Society Church of Fairhaven on Saturday December 16.
