Architectural Finial, American, probably New England or New York. Ca. 1875-1890. Copper, copper tubing. Excellent condition, original verdigris surface, minor re-soldering at seams. Is exceptional architectural element probably adorned the roof or cupola of a great Victorian building or house in the late 19th c. e design and form with scroll-motifs is further complimented by the exceptional verdigris surface. 60” h x 16” diameter (center).
