PHILADELPHIA, PENN. — Freeman’s Auction design specialist Tim Andreadis talks about the legacy of Pennsylvania architect and furniture maker George Nakashima. “It effectively takes one medium,” said Andreadis, “in this case wood, and distills it to its most elegant, sublime nature.” The firm’s March 19 sale also includes works by other noted Pennsylvania makers including Wharton Esherick, Paul Evans and Phillip Lloyd Powell.
