A 16-inch Handel reverse painted aquarium table lamp attracted a great deal of interest this past Friday, March 25, at Fontaine’s Auction Gallery. The rare lamp woke up an otherwise quiet Handel market of late, as it sold after an active bout of bidding for $54,625. Part of a sale of more than 400 pieces of lighting and associated materials, another highlight of the sale was an early Gustav Stickley drop front desk that hammered down at $28,175.
